Start with what's bothering you

Most people arrive asking for a treatment when what they actually have is a concern — and the two do not always match. These pages explain what causes each one, every option that genuinely addresses it, and what none of them will fix.

Upper face

Crow's feet

Crow's feet are the fine lines that fan out from the outer corners of the eyes, caused by repeated contraction of the orbicularis oculi muscle every time you smile or squint. The most effective treatment is a small dose of a wrinkle-relaxing injectable, which softens the lines for three to four months.

Forehead lines

Horizontal forehead lines are caused by the frontalis muscle, the only muscle that lifts the eyebrows. Every lift folds the skin above it. They are treated with a wrinkle-relaxing injectable — typically 8 to 20 units of BOTOX®, Xeomin® or Jeuveau®, or 20 to 30 units of Dysport® — with results lasting three to four months.

Frown lines (the "11s")

Frown lines, or the "11s", are the vertical creases between the eyebrows produced by the glabellar complex of muscles drawing the brows together. They are treated with a wrinkle-relaxing injectable — typically 12 to 20 units of BOTOX®, Xeomin® or Jeuveau®, or 30 to 50 units of Dysport® — lasting three to four months.

Mid face

Under-eye hollows

Under-eye hollowing is a loss of fat and bone support beneath the lower eyelid, which casts a shadow often mistaken for a dark circle. Where the cause is genuinely volume loss, a hyaluronic acid dermal filler placed in the tear trough restores support and lifts the shadow, typically lasting six months to two years.

Lower face

Nasolabial folds

Nasolabial folds are the creases running from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. They deepen as mid-face volume descends rather than because the skin at the fold has changed. Hyaluronic acid dermal filler — usually placed in the cheek to restore support, not in the fold itself — softens them for six months to two years.

Marionette lines

Marionette lines run downward from the corners of the mouth toward the jaw, forming as lower-face volume is lost and skin descends past the mouth corner. Hyaluronic acid dermal filler restores support along the line and at the chin and jaw, softening the crease for six months to two years.

Lips

Thin or flattening lips

Lips thin with age as hyaluronic acid and collagen are lost, the border definition softens and the upper lip lengthens. Hyaluronic acid dermal filler restores volume, definition and symmetry, with results visible immediately and typically lasting six months to two years depending on product and individual metabolism.

Body & metabolic

Weight that will not shift

Weight that resists diet and exercise is usually a matter of physiology rather than willpower: appetite hormones and metabolic rate adapt to defend the body against loss. GLP-1 receptor agonist medications act on those signals directly, and current studies show average body-weight reductions of up to 15% at 68 weeks, or 22.5% with GLP-1/GIP dual agonists at 72 weeks.
